As I am going through the motions of trying to position myself to be an artist that hotel chains and businesses think about when they are ready to furnish the wall décor in their buildings, I often find myself in different festivals wondering if this is the right one.
There are so many festivals and pop up shops that it is hard to determine which ones actually put time and energy into advertising to help their vendors and which ones are just out to collect a booth fee and expect the vendors to advertise. It is almost a gamble no matter what.
Fortunately there are some good ones out there that yields results for their vendors. I was very fortunate to attend one recently that attracted a church pastor and his wife that has a program to help support artists. This is amazing! Most places want money to help you thrive but they pride themselves on helping 12 artist a year by featuring them for a month.
The idea that I get to hang my art in their space for 30 days for all of their congregation to see and if interested view and learn more about me and my art is huge for me.
Now I am reviewing all the photos I have taken and trying to select the very best of the best to represent me in November 2023 at Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
I am forever grateful for this opportunity. Now to gear myself up for travels so I can create something new that is as deserving of this opportunity.
Picture Perfect Things is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. All I need to focus on now is continuing to put out quality work, with a story that people want to hear.
